Sana'a - Saba:
His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, expressed his deep regret over the international silence regarding the genocide committed by the Israeli entity against the peoples of the region, which coincides with the 79th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
This came in a letter addressed by President Al-Mashat to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, on the anniversary of the founding of the organization, the text of which is as follows:
The 79th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations comes, unfortunately, in light of the genocide committed by the Israeli entity against the peoples of the region, which has exceeded 50,000 victims of Zionist massacres and tens of thousands of wounded, in light of a shameful international silence that contradicts the goals of the organization for which it was established.
The United Nations Security Council is taking an approach of increasing crises by taking a unilateral stance, instead of taking the necessary steps to stop the massacres against civilians. UNRWA has become unable to perform its duties for the same reason, which has resulted in the loss of confidence in your organization among the peoples of the world and will bring many serious repercussions on the region and the world.
We in the Republic of Yemen strongly condemn the inaction of your organization and the international community towards what is happening in the region, and at the same time we demand a firm stance to stop the aggression against the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon and to classify the Israeli entity as a terrorist entity.
