Sana'a: In a statement published by the Yemen News Agency (SABA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed that maritime navigation—which the Saudi regime continues to raise alarm over and uses to mobilize the international community against Sana’a—remains safe. The statement added that navigation has, in fact, become even more secure following the end of clashes in the western coastal districts and the expulsion of the Saudi enemy’s military build-up from those areas.

The statement further affirmed that the normal flow of maritime traffic through Bab al-Mandab demonstrates the security of the shipping lane and refutes the claims made by the Saudi regime in this regard.

Previously, on 10 September 2026, the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) sent emails to members of the maritime community clarifying that the Yemeni Armed Forces had affirmed that navigation in international waters in the Red Sea remained safe, with the exception of the previously announced ban on Saudi vessels, and that there had been no further developments in this regard.
