The HOCC has imposed sanctions on (15) weapons manufacturing companies for their support of the usurping Zionist entity.
Sana'a – The Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) issued a decision today designating (15) weapons manufacturing companies as supporters of the usurping Zionist entity. These companies have been added to the Sanctions List of Supporters of the Usurping Zionist Entity (SUZE).
The Executive Director of the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) stated: “These companies remain complicit in supplying arms to the usurping Zionist entity, providing its forces with advanced weapons systems, missiles, munitions, military equipment, and other items directly linked to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of genocide perpetrated by the usurping Zionist entity in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which continue to claim the lives of innocent Palestinian civilians.” These actions fall within the scope of prohibited activities criminalized by the Republic of Yemen under Law No. (5) of the year 1445 AH regarding the designation of states, entities and persons hostile to the Republic of Yemen, and Sanctions Regulation on Supporters of the Usurping Zionist Entity. This measure comes as part of the Republic of Yemen’s efforts to undermine the capabilities of the usurping Zionist entity to continue its daily massacres against children and women in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
The decision was issued pursuant to Law No. (5) of the year 1445 AH regarding the designation of states, entities and persons hostile to the Republic of Yemen, and Sanctions Regulation on Supporters of the Usurping Zionist Entity (SR-SUZE).
Consequences of the Sanctions:
As a result of today’s action, appropriate sanctions shall be imposed in accordance with Article (38) of the Sanctions Regulation on Supporters of the Usurping Zionist Entity (SR-SUZE).
Upon the continued provision of weapons to the usurping Zionist entity by the companies listed on the sanctions list (SUZE), the sanctions may be extended to include entities in which those companies hold stake or contribute, senior executives or beneficial owners of the listed entities, spouses and first-degree relatives of the listed natural persons, entities in which the listed natural persons hold senior management positions, and entities controlled by, or established and managed by, those natural persons in addition to those engaging in dealings with them.
Furthermore, pursuant to the (SR-SUZE), it is prohibited for states, entities, and persons to engage in any form of transaction with the listed entities. It is also prohibited to use agents, intermediaries, shell companies, or third parties to facilitate prohibited transactions on behalf of the listed entities. Participation in any transactions with the listed entities carries a risk of being subjected to sanctions in accordance with the (SR-SUZE). For more information on the sanctions applicable to those engaging with sanctioned entities, please refer to the (SR-SUZE).
It should also be noted that the power and integrity of the sanctions imposed by the (HOCC) derive not only from its ability to designate entities, persons, and add them to the sanctions list, but also from its readiness to delist them in accordance with relevant regulations. The ultimate goal of the sanctions is not punishment in itself, but to bring about positive behavioral change. For more information on delisting from the sanctions lists, please refer to the (SR-SUZE).
We hope it is understood that the measures taken today through sanctions are part of our religious, humanitarian, and moral responsibility toward the oppressed Palestinian people. These measures aim to pressure the usurping Zionist entity to cease its aggression, open the crossings into the Gaza Strip, and allow the entry of essential food and medical aid.
